This weeks post is all about Private Label Rights, AKA White Label Products (and probably quite a few other names too!).  As usual, my story begins in Hong Kong, where I started my venture into online marketing.  PLR packages are certainly nothing new, and the premise is very simple.  When you buy a PLR product, you are also buying the license for the product, usually to alter it as much as you like, so you can re-brand it and basically treat it as if you had created the product yourself.  This is not always the case though, so you should always read the fine print, especially before purchasing the package.

Why would anyone let you take all their hard work and use it like your own?  Good question – I doubt I’ll be making any PLR packages myself!  However, there are plenty around online, some with very high price tags, more at the other end of the spectrum.  Over the years I have come across plenty, and in my honest opinion, most of them were rubbish.  Many packages included videos, and let’s just say that the production values were not broadcast standard.  Neither was the audio, even the PDF manuals were poor quality.  Most, if not all, the packages I have come across would take a significant amount of time and effort in order to make them a usable, professional product that I would be proud to market and sell.  Do I have high standards?  Absolutely!  Do I wish to sell high quality products?  You bet!  Am I currently selling any PLR packages?  Nope.  Nada.

If you are selling any PLR products, please leave a comment below.  I’m sure I can’t be the only person that has found no favour with PLR…
